A Cob Loaf is the perfect snack when it comes to feeding many people. This Homemade Cheese and Bacon Cob Loaf is very cheesy and works really well with onion and bacon. It's easy to make on a small occasion.
First, you have to preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
Cut the top of the cob loaf up to 4cm so that it works like a lid. Scoop out the bread from the center of the cob loaf and leave the edge of 1.5 cm. Roughly chop the bread pieces into a square shape.
Take a frying pan and heat the oil over medium heat. Add onion and bacon together and cook for 5 mins as well as stir occasionally.
Or cook until your bacon got brown in color and onions get softened.
Add Chives to the bacon mixture and stir in cream cheese. Mix well until combined.
Now, add together cream, sour cream, and grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
Spoon mixture into cob loaf. Arrange lid, bread pieces, and sliced french stick in a single layer around the loaf. Bake for 20 mins or until lightly toasted.
